The Aims of the Park of Portofino are:

1.       to protect and to defend the natural, environmental, and historical-cultural  features of the protected territory;

2.       to protect and to set off the biodiversity and in particular the typical species of flora and fauna and their habitat;

3.       to preserve the historical and archaeological heritage of the protected area;

4.       to promote the attivity of scientific research and of environmental education;

5.       to promote intervention of environmental improvement, of restoration of ecosystems and of retraining of the settling;

6.       to guarantee the fruition with didactic, cultural, scientific and touristic aims;

7.       to promote the enhancement of agricultural and traditional attivities;

8.       to promote the landscape preservation;

9.       to improve the economical and social conditions of the resident population, promoting the sustainable economical attivities.
